Going to Cali is becoming so real right now,

I just had a meeting with my exchange counselor at OCADU, who is amazing and so helpful by the way, and am figuring out all the odds and ends to completing my registration at California College of Art. This is HUGE to me. Its going to be four months away, not that that’s a long time (I lived in kenya, in an orphanage, by myself when I was 15) So I think I can hack a school trip for a semester. It’s a bit terrifying though. LOL my campus is in Oakland, which I believe is the shady part of San Fran, but Hey I can rough it. Maybe I’ll throw some on gold hoop earrings, a red bandana and red lipstick and fit in?

Either way, I feel entirely blessed. This is why I am investing in my education. The world is much bigger then I realized, I just need to explore and find my place within the madness and chaos that’s waiting for me. I am lucky to have the support system that I do.

Well cheers to summer everybody, cheers to pushing yourself, cheers to opportunity and cheers to hard work and dedication. It really PAYS off yo.

Feel negatively about life ; turn it around and focus on the positive things in your life.

need a change ; focus on what you strive to be and do that.

Feel lazy ; go for a walk.

Feel lonely ; call your grandma (she probably does too).

Feel fat ; make healthier food choices.

Craving candy ; then eat candy.

Need an idea for a shoot ; research art, history and culture rather than copying someone else’s picture.

People making you feel shitty ; hang out with the people that make you feel good about yourself that you can laugh at the world with.

Tired ; Read or watch a documentary and fall asleep to something worth learning about

Need to shed a few pounds ; don’t look at the scale, focus on cardio and how it makes you feel. Happy heart, happy body, happy mind.

Feeling misguided ; Read Proverbs from the bible, King Solomon was a rad dude with great advice.

bored of life ; spend time with kids that are important to you, they’ll give you tons of perspective.

stressed ; write it down and see what your telling yourself about yourself, just like what I did.
