On July 1, Canada day :) Brandon & I had the pleasure of tagging along with his cousin Chantelle and her boyfriend Ian, and a few their friends for a lovely boat cruise along the shoreline of Downtown Toronto.
The “real” plan was a surprise engagement for her, whom had no idea what so ever that this had been a much-anticipated event that took months of planning. Her boyfriend had contacted Brandon and I months before, asking to capture photos of the very special moment and as well get the plan going of getting her on the cruise ship. It was so exciting and very hard for me to keep a straight face the whole time, but Brandon had warned me not to ruin it cause my facial expressions totally would’ve given it away. haha!
So anyway, there was a magician that was hired to come on the ship, and towards the end of the cruise, he came up to our group and started playing a “Hide the Coin Game”. At first, he was using Brandon as his pawn, so Chantelle clearly had no idea what was really coming!! The magician then asked for a looney, and Ian grabbed the shiniest coin from his pocket and put it in the magicians “Hiding” contraption. He then hid the coin and flipped it around in the contraption making the looney disappear, and can you guess what came next? Ian then proceeded to open the contraption and wrapped within was a beautiful, sparkling diamond ring. Ian bent down on one knee, and Chantelle’s face lit up and all she could say was “That’s my ring”.
We ended that amazing day with lots of champagne, wine and a delicious dinner at the Keg celebrating with friends and family. I would like to say Congrats to Chantelle and Ian, I look forward to the wedding. Brandon and I we’re so blessed to be apart of such an amazing experience, and to be in the presence of such a beautiful couple that have so much love for eachother. It was a day I will never forget.
Enjoy.
