Lay Me Down
Lyrics from “Lay Me Down” by Dirty Heads Ft. Rome from Sublime
Well you’re my green-eyed girl And I’ve been running around with you.
It’s the afternoon and we got nothing left to do.
So wipe the dirt off, eh Take shirt off,
And we should go hit the cantina, We got work off.
I said it’s hot outside Let me go swimming in your eyes.
We’ve been running for a while
Why don’t you lay it on and make smile.
I could never ask for nothing better than this.
It’s just tequila and the beach, It’s hot and salty when we kiss
Oh man, I love this song. If you haven’t heard it you need to to go to youtube and check it out right NOW. The lyrics above are my favorite, absolute favorite. They remind me of a lifestyle that I wish I lived with the love of my life, Brandon.
It’s funny because in my crazy mind I believe that I have green eyes (although they are as pooey-brown as it gets) but whenever I say I do, my amazing love always agrees with a smile on his face knowing that it’s stupid but I want to believe it. And well, there is a green-eyed girl referenced in the lyrics and it completely reminded me of my silliness, and I can guarantee Brandon is laughing as he’s reading this :)
SPECIAL MENTION: If it wasn’t for Brandon Gouveia, I wouldn’t be a photographer today, he is the one that introduced me to it all & as well got me started and continues to support and help me with everything I do! And, as well, I wouldn’t have found my dream. And by dream I don’t mean photography, I mean living a truly happy life with the man of my dreams by my side and a world of opportunity at my fingertips! I couldn’t imagine continuing my journey in life without him there.
I am pretty sure the saying goes “Behind every great man is a woman” In my world it goes more like this “Beside every great artist is her inspiration for life, her love”
Enjoy.
